Burj khalifa project

Unimix was proud partner of Burj Khalifa construction project that is currently world tallest building and a completely man made structure. Being sole supplier of ready mix concrete for entire project it was both challenging and invigorating. The production, supply and placing of the concrete for 828m tall building was an engineering marvel as the project itself. Here are few facts about this building and its construction.

• It is 160 stories building with highest residential floor at level 109.
• There is observation deck at level 124.
• The building was rotated 120 degrees to allow for less stress from the prevailing winds
  The foundation piles are 150 ft. deep
• The building sits on a concrete and steel podium with 192 piles descending to a depth of more than 50 meters (164 feet)
• A total of 380,000 cubic meters of top quality durable concrete of various grades have been used in the construction of the building.
